He was the youngest of the Americans held hostage for 444 days at the US Embassy in Iran from 1979 to 1981

His presentation, “Liberty & Leadership,” provides a personal glimpse into a difficult time in our nation’s history.

He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and is the owner of Hermening Financial Group, with four offices throughout Wisconsin.

Mr. Hermening served a total of 13 years in the Marine Corps. He is the recipient of the US State Department's Award for Valor, and received the Prisoner of War Medal, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the nation's highest peacetime military decoration, from the Department of Defense.
